Grief is a multifaceted experience that affects emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. This workshop offers a holistic approach to grief, exploring its complexities and providing practical tools to navigate the process. Licensed mental health professionals and ministry leaders will develop an understanding of grief as a comprehensive experience, acknowledging both the emotional pain and the spiritual journey involved. Participants will identify the complexities of grief, including complicated and traumatic grief, and offer strategies to address these challenges. Participants will also learn how to integrate faith-based practices into the grieving process for Christian clients, discovering how the Bible can provide comfort, peace, and healing. This workshop will emphasize the power of combining therapeutic scripts with scripture, highlighting their connected role in emotional and spiritual restoration. Additionally, participants will compare the “both/and” approach, balancing spiritual and therapeutic practices, and examine cultural and faith-based perspectives on loss and the grieving process.
