Summary

Recent research highlights a significant gap in training for social workers in integrating faith and addressing spirituality and religion in practice. This workshop examines the role of a biblical worldview in guiding clinical decisions and ethical frameworks for social workers and other licensed mental health professionals working with faith-based clients. Participants will gain an understanding of the core components of a worldview and a biblically informed theory of change, emphasizing its importance in ethical decision-making. The workshop also focuses on the practical application of this whole-person theory of change to assessment, intervention, and outcomes. By incorporating these principles, social workers and other licensed mental health professionals can enhance their ability to address the spiritual and emotional needs of Christian clients effectively. Through this training, participants will develop practical tools to integrate faith-based practices and improve client outcomes in a compassionate, ethical, and clinically sound manner
