Summary:
Our culture has progressively changed over the past several decades, and though it has affected the broader population, teenagers have been affected the most. Loneliness is the most significant indicator of this impact, with teenagers and young adults being two times more likely to wrestle with loneliness than their adult counterparts, with rates as high as 71%. This workshop will explore the recent ways in which culture has changed, its implicit and explicit impacts on teenagers, and the practical ways clinicians can inspire hope and change for a struggling generation.
