This is a workshop for licensed mental health professionals, pastors, and coaches serving Treating couples impacted by sexual addiction and relational betrayal is often slow and difficult. Usually, the primary focus of treatment is often placed on sobriety and communication patterns. In this session, licensed mental health professionals and ministry leaders will explore sixteen practical components that couples can work on to transform relationships, focusing on second-order changes that address emotional and spiritual dynamic, not just behavioral shifts. These components were initially defined through anecdotal research based on experience with hundreds of couples seeking to heal after sexual addiction and the presenters are now developing a research project to validate the effectiveness. Participants will distinguish the importance of full disclosure and truth-telling as a pre-requisite to progress in marriage, and will evaluate several practical therapeutic interventions to use with clients, facilitating a path towards a transformed relationship.
