Woundedness and internal conflicts can hold willing Christian clients back from experiencing the integrated, abundant life that Christ promised. This track workshop explores how to apply key principles for identifying and caring for burdened parts of the soul, using a Christian approach to the fast-growing, evidence-based, Internal Family Systems (IFS) model of psychotherapy. Licensed mental health professionals and ministry leaders will learn to use the Five Steps of Taking a You-Turn, presented in the book Boundaries for Your Soul, to help their clients develop healthy boundaries and secure attachment with parts of their souls that are stuck and burdened by challenging thoughts, feelings and memories. Through didactic lessons, a demonstration, and a guided experiential exercise, attendees will learn how to empower their clients to befriend and lead the various parts of their souls. Attendees will also be taught how to facilitate the connection of parts of their souls with God, integrating parts work with Christian faith and practices, leading to greater emotional freedom.
