Summary:
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) has swept the marriage field, providing a revolutionary model for effective couples counseling. This faith-based EFT incorporates the client’s faith and essential aspects of attachment theory to allow for a more holistic therapeutic experience as the psychologist or licensed mental health professional moves a couple from hurting to connection in nine clear steps. This intensive will focus on specific techniques, interventions, and key shifts to foster lasting change in distressed couples. Furthermore, participants will engage with the concept of an integration of the theology of the body into EFT to equip the mental health professional to engage the sexual issues within a client’s cycles. Participants will learn how to apply this faith-based EFT to case studies provided by the presenters.
