Summary

Summary:

Burnout is an increasingly important issue, especially among Christian clients in caregiving, leadership, and ministry roles. They report feeling physically, emotionally, and spiritually drained. Licensed mental health professionals and ministry leaders can help these clients caught in the burnout cycle by exposing the deeply ingrained belief systems that keep them striving rather than thriving. This workshop will provide insight into these root causes, offering participants a framework to understand how burnout develops and manifests in clients’ lives. Participants will also learn to recognize signs and symptoms of burnout through emotional and physical self-assessment that can be used with clients. Central to this session is the introduction of six life-giving rhythms modeled in the life of Jesus and rooted in biblical principles for these Christian clients. These rhythms provide practical, sustainable ways to replenish energy, maintain balance, and foster resilience. By incorporating these biblically rooted and psychologically sound practices, attendees will be equipped to help clients break free from burnout and live in alignment with their God-given purpose, experiencing greater satisfaction and holistic well-being.
