Summary:
According to the Christian worldview, many Christian clients believe Jesus’s proclamation, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10, NKJV). However, many Christian clients struggle to fully experience this abundant life. This workshop will guide participants in helping clients explore what it means to be made in the Image of God (Imago Dei), the sanctification process, and how these foundational truths shape their emotional, relational, and spiritual growth. Building on biblical principles and emerging insights from Emotional and Relational Intelligence (ERI), the presenter will unpack the core elements of emotional maturity: understanding emotions, their origins, and how to manage them in healthy, productive ways. The workshop will also incorporate new findings from Interpersonal Neurobiology, emphasizing the connection between emotional well-being, relationships, and spiritual maturity. Licensed mental health professionals, coaches, and ministry leaders will learn how to help clients develop their own unique sacred pathways and create a personalized “growth plan” or curriculum for Christlikeness, fostering transformation aligned with God’s design. Practical strategies, including spiritual disciplines and sacred rhythms, such as stillness, intimate prayer, and attentive listening, will be explored as tools to help participants teach their clients how to grow holistically and live more like Christ in their daily lives.
