Summary

Summary:

The mental health field recognizes that spirituality has become an area of value and could be incorporated as a multicultural competency requirement within their practice. Understanding how to better address and engage with Christian clients in biblical spirituality can be unclear and confusing. This workshop will cover the necessity of licensed mental health professionals, pastoral counselors, and coaches on how to develop a biblical foundation for the spiritual dimension in counseling with Christian clients. Participants will discuss research supporting the value and benefits when spirituality is addressed within sessions while focusing on the process of utilizing Scripture for building personal spirituality with clients. Participants will evaluate neurotheologians’ insights on how to assist clients in identifying the importance of utilizing information to pursue spiritual formation.
