Summary

Summary:

Psychospiritual healing integrates psychological and spiritual elements. It is important to comprehend a client’s relationship with the spiritual realm, employ appropriate faith-based techniques, and implement actionable spiritual interventions to help Christian clients connect with God in a practical, tangible manner through spiritual disciplines and prayer. This workshop, directed toward psychologists, licensed mental health professionals, medical professionals, and ministry leaders, will examine the current research on psychospiritual interventions to help clients process and heal from past pain while being equipped with actionable tools for immediate application in their faith-based practice. Participants will learn two models: the SPEARS Decision Making Model, outlining the conscious and unconscious thought process that impacts a client’s mental health and well-being, and the Mashah Ministry Model, rooted in the Hebrew meaning of the word Mashah, which signifies pulling or drawing out. This model offers a unique and powerful approach to psychospiritual healing utilizing prayer. These models emphasize understanding a client’s spiritual connection, using faith-based techniques, and taking spiritual action to facilitate a practical, disciplined prayer that fosters a deeper connection with God.
