Summary

Summary:

Trauma work has become an increasingly important aspect of mental health services, but utilizing the correct techniques to foster emotional regulation and attachment security needs to be a focus for psychologists and licensed mental health professionals. This interactive pre-conference workshop will take participants beyond the basics, offering a deep exploration of how attachment and trauma intersect in the therapeutic space. Presenters will guide participants through interventions designed to build emotional intelligence, foster attachment security, and create powerful pathways for client healing and stabilization. Through experiential exercises, case applications, and small group activities, participants will apply five targeted tools for promoting trauma recovery and learn specific relationship styles related to attachment. The workshop will also dive into the complexities of faith, existential crises, and God-attachment, addressing how these elements shape trauma narratives and influence healing. Participants will leave with a co-created toolkit of strategies that can be immediately implemented in clinical practice.
